February 6, 2025, marked a historic night for heavy metal as Manowar brought their "The Blood of Our Enemies Tour 2025" to the MHP Arena in Ludwigsburg, Germany. This tour, celebrating the 45th anniversary of the band, was not just another concert—it was a testament to Manowar's undying legacy, their commitment to true heavy metal, and their everlasting connection with their loyal fanbase, the Manowarriors.
This special tour sees Manowar performing two of their legendary albums—Hail to England and Sign of the Hammer—in their entirety, alternating on different nights. For Ludwigsburg, it was Sign of the Hammer that roared through the arena, bringing the epic power of true metal to life. Alongside this, the setlist featured some of the greatest Manowar anthems, making the night an unforgettable celebration of steel, honor, and brotherhood.
The Stage Was Set – Anticipation Before the Battle
Doors opened at 18:00, and fans from all over gathered to witness one of the most iconic metal acts of all time. The energy in the MHP Arena was palpable as warriors clad in battle vests, leather, and band merch filled the venue, eagerly awaiting the metal onslaught that was about to begin.

A Setlist Worthy of the Gods of War
The night was divided into three epic chapters:
🔥 Chapter I: The Legendary Anthems Begin
The band wasted no time in setting the tone for the evening, launching straight into some of their most iconic battle hymns:
"Manowar" – The ultimate declaration of metal supremacy, this track immediately ignited the fire in every fan’s heart.
"Kings of Metal" – A song that embodies everything Manowar stands for, with fists raised high and the audience chanting along.
"Fighting the World" – A rallying cry for every metalhead who’s ever stood defiant against the mainstream.
"Brothers of Metal Pt. 1" – The unity and power of the Manowar fanbase could be felt as the entire arena screamed every word.
⚒️ Chapter II: Sign of the Hammer Comes to Life
The main event of the night saw Manowar performing Sign of the Hammer in full, bringing the 1984 classic to life like never before.
"All Men Play on 10" – A track that proves Manowar has always been about playing louder, harder, and stronger than anyone else.
"Animals" – A full-speed assault of pure heavy metal madness.
"Thor (The Powerhead)" – As the mighty hammer of Thor was raised in lyrics and sound, the crowd erupted in a thunderous chant.
"Mountains" – One of the most majestic and emotional performances of the night. The slow, powerful build-up and triumphant chorus left an unforgettable impact.
"Sign of the Hammer" – The title track thundered through the arena, a war cry for true metal warriors.
This album performance was nothing short of monumental, a rare chance to witness one of the most powerful records in metal history played live in all its glory.
⚔️ Chapter III: The Grand Finale – A Storm of Metal Classics
As if the full Sign of the Hammer performance wasn’t enough, Manowar returned for a final act of destruction, unleashing even more legendary tracks upon the crowd:
"Sons of Odin" – A hymn to the old gods, with an atmosphere so powerful you could almost feel Valhalla itself open.
"House of Death" – Fast, relentless, and absolutely crushing.
"King of Kings" – A song that encapsulates the mythology, grandeur, and might of Manowar.
"Warriors of the World United" – A true metal anthem, where every single person in the arena became part of a single, roaring army.
"Hail and Kill" – If there was any energy left in the crowd, this track took it all, a relentless call to battle.
"Black Wind, Fire and Steel" – The final blow, a furious, fast-paced anthem that sent the audience into an absolute frenzy.
Manowar Delivers a Show Like No Other
The stage production was a spectacle in itself. Fire, smoke, massive visuals, and pure, unrelenting sound turned the MHP Arena into a battlefield of sound and fury.
Joey DeMaio proved once again why he remains one of the most electrifying bassists in heavy metal history, his performance explosive and larger than life. Eric Adams, as always, delivered a vocal masterclass—his legendary voice showing no signs of weakness, effortlessly soaring through anthems old and new.
The band’s chemistry was on full display, as they played with the precision, passion, and power that have made them legends for over four decades.
This was more than just a concert—it was a ceremony, a gathering, a ritual for every true heavy metal fan. Manowar reminded everyone why they are the undisputed kings of true metal, and for those in attendance, it was an unforgettable night of battle hymns, camaraderie, and unrelenting power.
For me personally, this show was something special. Witnessing an album like Sign of the Hammer live, surrounded by thousands of fellow metal warriors, was an experience unlike any other.
