Stefan Grave’s debut solo project: A heavy metal EP with bold artwork, personal creativity, and modern soundscapes.

For years, my musical journey has taken me through countless bands, stages, and styles, shaping who I am as an artist. But now, it’s time for something new, something deeply personal: my solo project under the name Stefan Grave. This endeavor is a celebration of independence, creativity, and the unfiltered passion for music that has driven me since the beginning.

Heavy Metal with a Modern Twist

This project is pure heavy metal, a tribute to the genre’s roots while incorporating modern elements to give it a fresh and dynamic edge. The music is powerful, raw, and emotional, blending the energy of classic heavy metal with contemporary sounds. Every riff, melody, and lyric was carefully crafted and recorded by me at home.

The result? A short EP with 4-5 tracks that will embody the essence of my musical identity. It’s a reflection of my artistic vision—bold, unrelenting, and uniquely mine.

Why a Solo Project?

My path in music has been a rollercoaster of genres, emotions, and incredible experiences:

  1. Pleyskool: My first band, where I explored the raw energy of Nu Metal.

  2. May The Silence Fail: A venture into the world of Metalcore, marked by melodic intensity and crushing breakdowns.

  3. HateRemains: My Deathcore chapter, uniting brutality and precision in equal measure.

  4. Mean Deal Devils: A return to the roots with Classic 80s Heavy Metal, full of soaring riffs and old-school spirit.

From Pleyskool, where it all began, to my time with Mean Deal Devils and beyond, I’ve always been surrounded by talented musicians. But with that came the reality of depending on others—creative compromises, differing visions, and the challenges of collaboration.

With Stefan Grave, I wanted to push myself, to see what I could create when left to my own devices. This project is about testing my limits, embracing full creative control, and pouring every ounce of my soul into the music.

Guest Musicians and Artwork

While this is a solo endeavor, I’m excited to announce that there will be guest musicians featured on the EP. For now, their identities remain a secret, but I can promise that their contributions will add something truly special to the music.

As for the visual side of things, the planned CD cover, which you can see in the blog post image, was also created by me. Drawing has always been a passion of mine, and it felt natural to bring that creativity to the artwork. It’s another layer of personal expression that ties the entire project together.

What’s Next?

The EP is still in progress, but every day brings me closer to completing something that feels genuinely transformative. The songwriting is about 75% complete, and each track is evolving into something I’m immensely proud of. This project isn’t just about making music—it’s about growth, exploration, and creating something that is entirely my own.

Stay tuned for updates on the release date, guest musicians, and maybe even a sneak peek of a track or two. I can’t wait to share this journey with you and hear your thoughts on the music that has come straight from my heart.
